What is Telecontrol ?

See our Telecontrol solutions below.

A telecontrol system controls and monitors equipment and Inputs/Outputs signals in remote locations. For example, in the water distribution industry, pumping stations are most of the time geographically dispersed and are required to transfer information to allow control of system flow or level and monitoring of supply demand. TBox advanced Remote Terminal Unit (RTUs) are attached to the devices and sensors at the remote locations, and send and receive information through a communication network. An RTU controls, automates and monitors the water distribution plant and record operational data from inputs parameters, such as flow, pressure, ON/OFF status, etc... Any abnormal working conditions are immediately detected and sophisticated alarm sequences are performed.

Techno Trade Telecontrol solutions are the result of 13 years experience in advanced telemetry and SCADA development.

A Telemetry application usually consists of a number of components:

• The central station master system

• A communications network

• The RTUs

• The field instrumentation

The SCADA RTU is a small ruggedised computer that provides intelligence in the field, and allows the central SCADA master to communicate with the field instruments. It is a stand-alone data acquisition and control unit. Its function is to control the process equipment at the remote site, remote command the plant, acquire data from the equipment and/or sensors, and transfer the data back to the central SCADA system. Its aim is also to send alarms to the central station and/or to relevant people.
